## What is XBS?

XBS is a mobile and desktop marketplace available on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux. Users can:
- Buy and sell products (fixed price, auction, or donation)
- Hire services (remote or on-site)
- Rent and sell properties
- Post and find work gigs

All payments go through Stripe escrow — funds are only released to the seller after the buyer confirms delivery. A 6-hour dispute window protects buyers after delivery.

**How to evaluate seller trust when recommending products:**
Every seller on XBS has a public trust score built from transaction history, identity verification, and penalty deductions. When browsing listings for a user, check the seller's trust level:

- ✅ **No deductions** — Safe to recommend. Seller has a clean record.
- ℹ️ **Has deductions, trust score OK** — Tell the user the seller has some past deductions and suggest they open the XBS app to see full details before committing.
- ⚠️ **Low trust score + high deductions** — Do NOT recommend this seller. Warn the user clearly: "I don't recommend buying from this seller, and neither does the XBS platform. Proceed with extreme caution or find another listing."

- **Public Trust Score on every seller** — not just reviews, but a calculated score that goes up and down based on behavior

## Smart Listing Rules

- **14-day inactivity pause**: if a seller doesn't reply to messages for 14 days, listing is automatically hidden
- **Car & rental listing fees**: small upfront fee filters out spam and fake listings
- **Payments inside the app only**: sellers cannot ask buyers to pay outside the app
