When you create a listing (product, service, rental, or gig), we collect the title, description, price, images, and category you provide.

1.3 Transaction Data

When you buy or sell through XBS, we collect order details, payment information (processed securely through Stripe), and shipping/delivery information.

1.4 Communication Data

Messages sent through our in-app chat system are stored to facilitate communication between buyers and sellers.

1.5 Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the app, including pages visited, searches performed, and listings viewed. This helps us improve our recommendation system.

1.6 Device Information

We collect device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports to ensure app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide our services: Creating listings, processing payments, facilitating communication
To improve the app: Analyzing usage patterns, fixing bugs, personalizing recommendations
To ensure safety: AI-powered content moderation, fraud detection, identity verification
To communicate with you: Notifications about orders, messages, and important account updates

3. Information Sharing

3.1 With Other Users

Your display name, profile picture, location, and listing information are visible to other users as part of the marketplace experience. Your email address and payment details are never shared with other users.

3.2 Service Providers

We share information with:

Stripe: For payment processing. Stripe receives your payment card details and processes transactions. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Supabase: For database hosting and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase's secure infrastructure.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Payment information is tokenized by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

We implement reasonable security measures including:

SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission
Secure API authentication
Regular security audits
Row-level security on our database

5. AI & Automated Decisions

We use AI (OpenAI GPT models) for:

Content moderation: Analyzing listing descriptions and images to detect policy violations (prohibited items, explicit content, fraud)
Recommendation system: Personalizing your feed based on your behavior and preferences

AI analysis results in automated decisions (listing approval/rejection). If your listing is rejected, you will be shown the reason and may retry the analysis.

6. Data Retention

Account data: Retained until you delete your account
Listing data: Retained until you delete the listing or your account
Messages: Retained until you delete the conversation
Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
Usage analytics: Anonymized after 12 months

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your data
Object to certain processing activities
Withdraw consent for optional data processing

Our mobile app uses local storage (SharedPreferences) for:

XBS is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored on Supabase servers. By using XBS, you consent to the transfer of your data to these servers.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
